For my birthday this year I'm gonna pass on having a party or going out to eat and all that shit. Instead I'd like to get all my friends together and get drunk. So let's all get together downtown at the Basement this Saturday night and do it up. And all of you are invited. Even if you hardly know me. Come on down. I figure I'll show up there around 11pm, so if you're in the area come in for a drink. I wanna see as many people there as possible.

OK, time to get emo.

I just said goodbye to one of the best friends I've ever had and I ever will have. She's been with me for almost as long as I've been living in St. John's, and through her I met so many other great friends. I've become so used to having her around, I never thought she'd ever leave.

But she has.

But I know she'll have a great time, so that makes me feel better, but I miss her a lot already.

Goodbye Susan, I hope Toronto is ready for you, because I know you're ready for Toronto. And I really hope I can come visit you this summer.

Metrobus and ATU reach tentative agreement

Metrobus and the Amalgamated Transit Union, local 1462 reached a tentative collective agreement today after being called back to the table by a conciliator. Unsuccessful marathon negotiations aimed at ending the dispute had broken off late last night.

Metrobus spokesperson Mark Chancey says customers are the real winners today. “Managers don’t matter and unions don’t matter, if customers don’t matter. We’ll go forward making sure that our customers know how sorry we are for the past couple of weeks and how important they are to this organization.”

Details of the agreement will not be released until union members have had a chance to vote on the package. It is expected that full service will be resumed by Friday morning, pending ratification of the deal by union members and the employer.!
